Candidate Privacy Notice

What We Collect

When you submit an application through apply.brightbeam.io, we collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and timezone
• Your expected hourly rate
• Answers to role-specific questions
• Your resume (PDF)
• Your IP address and the timestamp of your consent (for compliance records)

Why We Collect It

We use your information solely to evaluate your application for a role at BrightBeam. Specifically:

• To review your qualifications and experience
• To contact you about your application status
• To match you to open roles (for general applications)

AI-Assisted Review

BrightBeam may use AI tools to assist in reviewing applications. This may include summarizing resumes or highlighting relevant experience. A human always makes the final hiring decision. AI is used as a tool to help our team review applications more efficiently — it does not autonomously accept or reject candidates.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is processed and stored using the following services:

• Cloudflare D1 — your application details (name, email, answers)
• Cloudflare R2 — your resume PDF
• Resend — to send you a confirmation email from careers@brightbeam.io

All services use encryption in transit. Your data is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for any purpose other than evaluating your application.

How Long We Keep It

We retain your application data for 12 months from the date of submission. If you are hired, your data is retained for the duration of your employment. After the retention period, your data is deleted.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request we correct any inaccurate information
• Deletion — request we delete your application data at any time
